After delivering the critically acclaimed thriller ‘Kshanam’ in 2016 and screwball comedy ‘Ami Thumi’ in 2017, actor-writer Adivi Sesh is all set to commence work on the Telugu remake of Arjun Kapoor and Alia Bhatt-starrer ‘2 States’.
Based on Chetan Bhagat's bestseller of the same name, the movie will be directed by debutant Venkat Reddy a former associate of Telugu director VV Vinayak.
According to latest updates, the film will go on floors from April 5 in Hyderabad. Reportedly the first schedule is of two weeks, in which some of the film’s crucial scenes will be shot. In May, the second schedule of the film will be shot in Kolkata; and the team will fly to the US for the third schedule.
The leading lady of the film is Shivani, daughter of veteran actor Rajasekhar, who will be making her acting debut with this yet-to-be-titled remake. The remake also stars Rajat Kapoor, Priyadarshi, Rahul Ramakrishna, Vidyullekha Raman, Hema and Uttej in important roles. Bhagyashree is all set to make a comeback after two decades with this film. The actress will reprise Revathy’s role from the original, while Bollywood actor Rajat Kapoor, who will make a Telugu debut with the movie, will play Swaminathan, father to the leading lady and Bhagyashree’s husband, originally played by Shiv Kumar Subramaniam.
